When I heard you'd signed up to Substack, I figured you'd be addressing this issue sooner or later... good idea to deal with it upfront straight away.

It's only tangential to this essay, but I'd be interested in your thoughts on treating 'platforms' as publishers. Personally, I'm all for it. I guess that makes me whatever the opposite of a 'free-speech fundamentalist' is; but as far as I'm concerned, Facebook/Twitter/etc should be legally liable for every single piece of hate, libel and disinformation on their sites exactly as if Mark Zuckerberg/Jack Dorsey/etc had published it themselves.

I can't believe you support this clown and believe he adds integrity to your position (opposite! when I saw this a few hours ago I knew I wasn't going to give you any more money)

this video is full of outright lies and obsfucation

I used to admire you, then I got dubious when you failed Feminist 101 - a man cannot be a woman (even when he shakes his fist and shouts it through a megaphone)

I'd hoped reading more of your writing would "educate" me to why I should welcome trans "liberation", but there is nothing going on here that explains why you think gender identity ideology has anything to benefit the world, lest of all genuinely gender dysphoric people and women and girls. The latter who will end up carrying the shit can for masculine entitlement, as ever.

I will read your book as soon as it comes out but expect it will only make me feel sick. It must be an anxious time for you to have that book coming out as the full ugly extent of the hidden trans agenda is now getting revealed and ordinary working class women like me are waking up to how progressives are selling us out.

It must be awful for you contemplating what your enthusiastic endorsement of trans and gender identity ideology has enabled. I expect you will try to shrink back to make yourself a very small target and start to dissemble about the things you've said and supported.

The mutilated bodies of healthy young people are piling up, the ones who think they are boys/girls trapped in the wrong sexed bodies. You might actually save a young persons health and a lifetime of medical problems if you overcame the humiliation of admitting gender identity ideology is dangerous and irrevocably flawed.

Graham Lineham and Kellie-Jay Keen are true heroes.

"The first response to someone who makes a mistake or causes harm should be to call in, find out what happened, and see what repair is possible." -- some years ago I was a member of an intersectional space online that I loved, but I got into a conversation in one of the public channels about a topic that made people uncomfortable. I realized, and I went to the moderators and apologized and asked if I could do anything to fix it... but before I could make amends, I was banned (I woke up the next morning to several message alerts for a Slack I could no longer log into). It's frustrating -- I loved the community, I immediately knew I'd messed up and wanted to fix it -- but on the other hand, communities have rules and they really do need to be enforced equally for everyone so I understand. Each community has to take their own stand and make their own rules -- and enforce them to keep standards up. I think what's happening with Substack is interesting because, initially, I would have _never_ considered supporting the platform at all... but I'm finding so many writers that I love and support are moving from Patreon and Medium to Substack that I'm already several hundred dollars down in subscriptions per years and I suspect that amount is just going to increase...
